October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and this year, Davis, Saperstein & Salomon, P.C. wants to help make this the most successful one yet!
JERSEY CITY, NJ, October 10, 2023 /24-7PressRelease/ — Fourteen years ago, Annette, a case manager at our law firm, was diagnosed with Triple Negative Breast Cancer, Stage 2B. After a difficult and lengthy battle that included surgery and aggressive radiation treatment through Hackensack Medical Center’s Betty Torricelli Institute for Care in Bergen County, NJ, Annette went into remission and has been cancer-free since 2009.
In honor of Annette’s triumph over cancer, Partner Garry R. Salomon, Esq. created the EmployersThinkPink initiative. During the month of October, any employee who has not yet had a mammogram will be given paid time off to get screened. Garry’s dream is that the EmployersThinkPink initiative spreads beyond the four walls of his firm, as he has experienced the impact of the disease and has seen the benefit of early detection first-hand. Having yearly scheduled mammograms is crucial, as it can allow breast cancer to be diagnosed at an early stage before it has had time to progress or spread to other parts of the body.
