Charles Sikorsky, LC, JD, JCL announced today its plans to roll out a Standard Tuition Discount that will replace the current Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), effective immediately. In an effort to simplify the current MOU process, and to attract more students, under the Standard Tuition Discount, DMU will provide discounts to groups who did not have an MOU in place as outlined below:

– Religious, consecrated, and church employees in good standing will receive a 20% tuition discount for degreed programs. All can receive a 10% tuition discount in the Spiritual Direction Program.

– Employees and volunteers of non-profit organizations (not governed by the church) will be able to earn up to 15% in tuition discounts including crisis pregnancy centers and other nonprofits who serve the needs of the poor and vulnerable.

“Our growing number of alumni continue to be a wonderful source of inspiration as the vital impact of their work continues to spread. They are making a substantial contribution toward building a culture of life, love and justice,” said DMU President, Fr. Charles Sikorsky, LC, JD, JCL.

The Most Rev. Michael F. Burbidge, Bishop of the Catholic Diocese of Arlington, has continuously supported Divine Mercy University since the Sterling Campus opening and blessing in 2019. Bishop Burbidge encouraged the school in its mission to bring a Catholic understanding of the human person to the study of psychological science, calling the school community a treasure of the diocese.

“Those associated with the university and all who gathered here today have been chosen to be instruments of God’s divine mercy,” said Bishop Burbidge during his homily at the campus opening in 2019, “So we gather here to seek the grace to live in a manner worthy of the call you have received and to help others remove from their lives doubt, fear and the sense of helplessness.”

In the 2022 graduation Mass and commencement ceremony this past May, DMU celebrated 142 graduates where Fr. Charles Sikorsky, LC, JD, JCL addressed the graduates, “Each one of you is an answer to many prayers,” said Fr. Sikorsky. “In a world in need of hope, in a world in need of healthy relationships, in a world in need of healing and unity, and in a world in need of truly human and Godly values, each one of you is an answer to prayer.”

Currently, DMU provides partnerships in the form of an MOU. All current MOUs will be honored, but will be reviewed and discontinued if not in use for a consecutive twelve-month period. The Director of Partnerships, Steven Showalter, and the Vice President of Education (VPE), Thomas Brooks, will manage the current MOUs.

In order to be awarded a Student Tuition Discount, DMU will require proof of good standing such as a letter from the parish or company. For more information about our standard tuition discounts, contact Divine Mercy University’s Director of Partnerships, Steven Showalter, at [email protected].
