Eric Chun-Pu Chu, Chairman of Chiropractic Doctors Association of Hong Kong (CDAHK), is the first chiropractor in Asia to be awarded a Fellowship at the Royal College of Chiropractors in the United Kingdom.

LONDON, ENGLAND, January 18, 2023 /24-7PressRelease/ — The Royal College of Chiropractors is the professional organization for chiropractic in the United Kingdom. The College recognized Chu’s exceptional experience and professional qualifications in orthopedic specialty. The College devoted to chiropractic education and strives to provide the best clinical care to patients. The Specialist Faculties of the college are responsible for reviewing, disseminating, and expanding the evidence base in each discipline. Using indicators such as academic literature, the Orthopedics, Rehabilitation, and Exercise Faculty evaluates the academic achievements of clinical academics in their field of study. There are 26 orthopedics specialists on the Faculty, of which 17 hold fellowship FRCC (Ortho). Chu is the Fellow of the Faculty and uphold the highest competencies.

In 2021, Dr. Chu was ranked among the top ten authors by a chiropractic journal. Many CDAHK chiropractors have been receiving the highest recognition for its clinical qualifications in the field of chiropractic, according to Dr. Chu. CDAHK chiropractors excels in the treatment of numerous complex diseases and the application of cutting-edge technology. With the influx of scientific talent in the Greater Bay Area and the government’s encouragement of medical research, chiropractors can be at the forefront of chiropractic science in Asia.

Although Hong Kong lacks its own chiropractic college and professional specialty system, numerous CDAHK chiropractors are registered with the American and British chiropractic specialties, and their clinical performance is comparable to the global standards. Many of the CDAHK chiropractors are qualified specialist in chiropractic neurology, pediatric, sports medicine, and orthopedics. Many research institutions have funded a number of chiropractic projects, including scholarships and the establishment of a chiropractic college in Hong Kong.

In response to the high demand for chiropractors in Hong Kong, the CDAHK has launched the Chiropractic Development Programme to award scholarships to students entering the designated programs during the 2023 academic year. The CDAHK assist students’ applications to chiropractic colleges in United States, United Kingdom, Malaysia, Australia, and New Zealand. Students with diploma study, associate degree, higher diploma, and university degrees who meet the requirements for admission are eligible to apply. They will be selected to receive 30% of the scholarship. More than 20 chiropractors have been trained through the program. This year’s incoming class will strengthen the program’s curriculum, and that many candidates will be offered employment opportunities before graduation. Students with financial difficulty will be offered student loans to complete the program.

The CDAHK is now accepting applications for the 2023 school admission. Students who apply by Feb. 28, 2023 will be offered conditional or unconditional admission by June 31.

After graduation, students can return to Hong Kong for immediate registration without examination.
